PIERRE, S.D. – The State Department of Health reported 50 new cases of COVID-19 in its Monday report – one of those cases was in Pennington County.
The new case in Pennington gives the county 11 cumulative cases with 7 people recovered.
The rest of the cases were in eastern South Dakota, where Minnehaha County saw an additional 43 new COVID-19 positive tests with neighboring Lincoln County reporting five.
Minnehaha County now has 1,405 cumulative cases and Lincoln County has 95.
The statewide cumulative total is 1,685 with 709 people who have recovered from the virus.
As for testing in the Black Hills area, Meade County recorded an additional 4 negative tests over the weekend for a total of 54. Pennington County has 332 negative tests and Lawrence County has 60 negative tests.
