State reports 67 new cases of COVID-19 in Saturday report

PIERRE, S.D. – The State Department of Health reported 67 new cases of COVID-19 in their Saturday report.

In the Black Hills area, Pennington County reported 9 new cases. The new cases give Pennington a cumulative total of 446 with 152 active cases.

Meade County reported one new case with 11 active cases. The active case load is down 3 in Meade from Friday.

Custer County reported 3 new cases, giving them a cumulative total of 6 with 5 active.

Other cases across western South Dakota include two in Corson County, two in Lyman County, and one case each in Oglala Lakota County and Stanley County.

Statewide, the active case load is up 8 to 809 from Friday.

The number of people hospitalized due to COVID-19 is down 4 to 91.

There were no new deaths reported today. The state’s death toll remains at 81.
