State reports 92 new positive tests for COVID-19 in Wednesday report

PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health reported 92 new cases of COVID-19 in its Wednesday report.

In the Black Hills area, Pennington County reported an additional 11 cases, giving them a cumulative total of 85 with 64 active cases. Fall River County also reported an additional case giving them a cumulative total of 4 with 2 active cases.

Oglala Lakota County reported 4 new cases, giving them a total of 14 cumulative and 13 active.

Other cases include 25 in Beadle, 17 in Minnehaha, 6 each in Brown and Union, 5 in Aurora, 4 each in Jerauld and Lincoln, 3 in Lyman, 2 each in Buffalo and Yankton, and one each in Sanborn and Turner Counties.

Statewide, there are 1,108 active cases, down from Tuesday’s 1,125.

3,023 patients have recovered. That’s up 109 since Tuesday. The number of hospitalizations is currently 81, up from 77 yesterday.

No new deaths were reported today, so the states death toll remained at 46.
