PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health reports seven positive COVID-19 tests in its Tuesday report for a total of 108.
South Dakota State Epidemiologist Joshua Clayton says all the new cases are in eastern South Dakota – 4 in Minnehaha, 1 in Lincoln, 1 in Kingsbury and 1 in Yankton.
Lawrence County saw their number go up one to six from yesterday’s five, but Dr. Clayton says that is due to a correction – moving yesterday’s Butte County case over to Lawrence County. Because of that, there are now no reported positive tests coming out of Butte County.
Pennington County remained at 5, and Meade County remained at 1.
Minnehaha County continues to have the most cases with 31.
As of today, 44 people have fully recovered from the virus, leaving 63 active cases. So far, 12 people have been hospitalized due to the virus.
There have been 3,609 negative tests.
