ABERDEEN, S.D. – The State Girls Softball Tournament will see the number 1 and number 2 seeds play each other for the Class AA Championship Saturday.
Sioux Falls Lincoln and Harrisburg will play for the title Saturday evening.
Lincoln defeated Sioux Falls Jefferson 8-0 Friday night to earn their spot in the championship game. Harrisburg defeated Sioux Falls Washington 13 to 2 to advance.
In the consolation round, Rapid City Stevens will play Brandon Valley for Fifth place after defeating O’Gorman 11 to 7 Friday afternoon. Brandon Valley defeated Watertown 7 to 6.
At the Class A tourney, West Central will play third seeded Tea for the championship. West Central defeated Madison 11 to 5 while Tea upset second seeded Dell Rapids 7 to 1 to advance to the championship game.
Tri Valley and Dakota Valley will play for fifth place.
And, at the Class B tournament, top seeded Castlewood will play third seed Chester for the championship. Castlewood defeated Scotland/Menno 5 to 3 in the semi finals while Chester defeated Alcester-Hudson 10 to 4.
