RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Christian Lady Comets are headed to their first ever State Volleyball Championship match.
The Comets made history on Friday by qualifying for their first-ever state volleyball championship, defeating Miller in straight sets of 25-18, 25-17 and 25-14.
Ana Egge led the Comets with 18 kills followed by Chloe Weber with five kills.
The Rustlers were led by Aleah Schlechter with 10 kills.
Rapid City Christian now faces the tough task of playing top seed Sioux Falls Christian in the state finals.
The Chargers are looking to win their seventh straight state championship.
The Class ‘A’ state championship match is set for 6:45 p.m. on Saturday at the Summit Arena in Rapid City.
