- Every state had unemployment claims last week that were higher than in the previous week except for Vermont, Delaware, Tennessee, New York, New Mexico, Indiana, Maryland, South Carolina, Washington, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Hawaii, New Hampshire, Nebraska, Florida, Missouri and Georgia.
 - While there was an increase in weekly claims nationally, 36 states (including Delaware, New Hampshire, and Hawaii) had unemployment claims last week that were better than the same week last year.
