RAPID CITY, S.D. – Some overnight thunderstorms rumbled through the area bringing some hail but also some much needed rain.
In Weston County, Wyoming, nearly an inch and a half of rain has been reported near Newcastle. But some large hail was reported in the area.
In southwest South Dakota, hail to the size of tennis balls was reported east of Oelrichs in Fall River County. In Pennington County, southeast of Deerfield, 2-inch hail was reported.
In Deadwood, some small hail fell with the rain and in Sturgis, an estimated .15-hundredths of rain was reported.
