PIEDMONT, S.D. — Fire crews from Piedmont were among those responding to a house fire late Sunday night.
The fire was reported shortly before 11:00 p.m. and Piedmont and Black Hawk Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the home on Foothill Drive.
Meade County Emergency Management reports the single family dwelling received moderate fire and smoke damage, displacing a family of five. The family is being assisted by the South Dakota Chapter of the American Red Cross.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
