STURGIS, S.D. – A Meade County elementary student has been recognized for her good deed.
The Meade County Sheriff’s Office says on Friday, Dec 13th, there was a minor accident involving a school bus near Piedmont Valley Elementary.
The Sheriff’s Office says as any incident involving little people is a scary event, a student from Piedmont Elementary jumped into action.
Ms. Addilynn reacted far better than most of us would, and helped keep other students calm, and even helped with calling parents and reassuring them everything was okay.
Deputy Jennifer Ness awarded Addilynn with a certificate of appreciation for doing all she could to make a tough situation better this week!
The Sheriff’s Office says “We truly appreciate all she did that day!”
