STURGIS, S.D. – A new athletic director is headed to Sturgis Brown High School.
Michael Schultz will take over the position left vacant by the resignation of Todd Palmer earlier this year. His duties will officially begin July 1, 2022.
He is currently the Athletic Director at Valley City Public Schools in Valley City, North Dakota.
Schultz has South Dakota connections. He worked as a teacher at Sioux Falls Washington and has coached cross country, track and field, and girls basketball.
Schultz and his wife, Kellie, will be moving to the Sturgis area in June.
