STURGIS, SD – This week is a big one for Sturgis. In more ways than one.
The South Dakota Beef Industry Council (SDBIC) has been promoting steakhouses and restaurants throughout the state during the 82nd Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Classic.
Earlier, during the month of June, the public nominated 26 locations for being a favorite place to enjoy a steak. The top three locations are being featured at the annual Sturgis Rally that attracts hundreds of thousands of people from around the world.
The 2022 Sturgis Beef Throwdown Claim Your Steak top three slots went to Mad Mary’s Steakhouse and Saloon, Flandreau; Cattleman’s Club Steakhouse, Pierre; and the Alpine Inn and Restaurant in Hill City.
South Dakota beef producers, the SDBIC and celebrity chef Justin Warner will determine the 2022 champions to be announced August 12 at Harley Davidson Rally Point in downtown Sturgis during events from 1:30-3:30p.m.
The Sturgis Beef Throwdown Burger Battle going on at the same time and location will feature three teams that include VIP Sponsors, South Dakota Beef Farmers and Ranchers and Media Partners that will battle for their chance to be the Beef Throwdown Burger Battle Champions.
