STURGIS, S.D. – The Sturgis Chamber of Commerce and Sturgis Economic Development Corporation has gotten creative in order to help local businesses find employees.
It’s called the “Work Force Opportunity Wall,” and it’s a place where local businesses in need of employees can post their available job opportunities and the corresponding applications for job seekers to fill out.
Veronica Grosek is Executive Director of the Sturgis Chamber.
“We thought there were a lot of people that maybe aren’t kind of tech savvy and maybe didn’t know how to get things online, so we really thought that Sturgis needed a central location for job seekers.”
The Workforce Opportunity Wall is located inside the Sturgis Chamber of Commerce and can be viewed during the chamber’s normal operating hours.
