STURGIS, S.D. – Sturgis held first reading of a zoning amendment for Block C of the Davenport Ranch Addition Monday night.
The amendment would switch the zoning from Highway Service to Medium-Density Residential Housing.
Sturgis City Manager Daniel Ainslie says this is for proposed new housing in the Garden Groves Subdivision.
Ainslie says this is a continuation of the previously approved residential housing development currently under development at Davenport Ranch Estates.
The council approved first reading and a second and final reading is expected at the next meeting on October 17.
