Sturgis Council approves resolutions for proposed new apartment complex

STURGIS – The Sturgis City Council Monday night approved a zoning change request to allow for the construction of a new 14-unit apartment complex on 12th Street.

P-S-I Family, LLP was seeking a zoning change from highway service to medium density residential.

Rod Bradley with P-S-I says they are planning on building a two story, 14 unit apartment complex on a current vacant lot.

Bradley’s property is in the 100 year flood plain, and he will need to obtain a flood plain development permit and adhere to flood plain construction.

In relation, the council Monday night also approved creating a TIF Boundary for the project, the project plan and a resolution that will authorize the signing of documents.
