STURGIS, S.D. – The Sturgis Council renewed the city’s two medical cannabis dispensary licenses Monday night.
Northern Hills Alternative Health LLC and Puffy’s LLC both were awarded medical cannabis dispensary licenses through a lottery last year.
Although neither has opened a dispensary, a year has passed since the licenses were awarded, so they needed to renew.
Northern Hills Alternative Health recently secured a building permit to complete renovations to 2715 Lazelle Suite D to be in compliance with the city’s Medical Cannabis Ordinance. Their application was complete and paid the $7,500 renewal fee.
Puffy’s is located at 1337 Main Street. They plan to apply for a building permit to complete renovations at their location. They too, have paid the $7,500 application fee and met all application requirements.
