LAS VEGAS, NV – Jackson Ford of Sturgis brought home first place hardware from the Indian National Finals Rodeo, which wrapped up this past weekend in Las Vegas.
Ford won the world title in the Saddle Bronc.
The 19-year-old becomes the first contestant in the history of the INFR to win all three rounds and the average.
Ford held the lead heading into the short-go with 247 points on three rides and scored a 89 in the finals to seal the deal.
It is Ford’s first Indian National Finals Rodeo world title and third trip to the INFR.
Another South Dakota cowboy, Teigan Gray of Eagle Butte, won the bull riding world title.
Gray was the only cowboy to ride out three of the four bulls.
