BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. – The Sturgis Scooper wrestling team cruised to the team title of the Belle Fourche Invitational, which wrapped up on Saturday.
The Scoopers finished with 325.5 points – well ahead of second place Rapid City Stevens with 235.5.
Custer was third with 187 and Moorcroft was fourth with a a 136. Belle Fourche rounded out the top five.
Sturgis crowned six champions on the day, including Reese Jacobs, who remains undefeated on the year, at 182. Other Scooper winners were Korbin Bunch at 106, Thayne Elshere at 138, Kalvin Ketelsen at 145, Aiden Werlinger at 195 and Zac Juelfs at 220.
Sturgis also had runner-up finishers at 113 with Teryn Zebroski, 120 with Tegan Zebroski, 126 with Dee Daniels, and 285 with Dakarai Osborne.
Custer crowned four champions on the day, including Tray Weiss at 113, Landon Woodward at 126, Riley Scott at 132 and Ryder Bailey at 170.
