STURGIS, S.D. – The Sturgis Scooper softball team wrapped up the regular season with an 8 to 7 win over Mitchell on Saturday.
The Scoopers scored five runs in the bottom half of the first inning and took a 6-0 lead into the fourth before Mitchell got on the board.
The Kernels then tied the game by scoring six runs with Sturgis answering right back in the bottom half of the inning and holding on for the win.
Mitchell had five errors on the day.
