STURGIS, S.D. – Sturgis fire crews were called to a hay bale fire on Monday morning.
The fire was located off of Fort Meade Way, across from the Buffalo Chip Campground east of Sturgis.
The fire involved a number of stacked hay bales.
Crews worked to keep the fire from spreading to neighboring grass and trees.
Later in the day, fire crews were sent back out for a reported car fire.
That fire damaged a vehicle parked in the alleyway behind a home in the 1800 block of Junction Avenue.
No injuries were immediately reported.
