Sturgis Law Enforcement say woman who escaped custody last week is now in custody

STURGIS, S.D. – Sturgis Police say a woman who escaped from custody last week has been apprehended.

On their Facebook page, Sturgis Police say Bailey Wright was in custody, but released no further information on her capture.

On January 17, Wright was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, and while being transferred to the Meade County jail, she managed to escape from custody.

Area law enforcement had been searching for her since she escape.
