Sturgis leads after day 1 of RC Invite

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Invitational wrestling tournament wrapped up its first day of action Friday at the Monument in Rapid City.

This year, around 1,000 wrestlers representing 61 teams from six states will be competing.

The action kicked off Friday morning at the Summit Arena with 12 matches taking place at one time.

After the first day of competition, Sturgis leads the boys varsity division with 122 points. Pierre is second with 114.
