Sturgis Leprechaun Hunt slated March 17-19

STURGIS, S.D. – The City of Sturgis is getting residents and businesses involved in a special St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

The Sturgis Leprechaun Hunt is scheduled for March 17, 18 and 19.

Sturgis Rally and Events Director Tammy Cordell says you can search more than 65 local businesses participating to find a leprechaun bear. Finding the bears and writing down where you saw them gets you entered into a grand prize drawing for $150, $100 and $50 in gift items from local Sturgis businesses.

It begins Friday, March 17, when participants can pick up their passport pamphlet at Sturgis Hometown Market on Sturgis’ Main Street. Passports may be picked up from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, as well as 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Once you fill out your passports, you will need to turn them in by 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Winners will be announced on Monday, March 20th.
