STURGIS, S.D. – The flu has led to the postponement of Thursday’s Sturgis vs Rapid City Stevens wrestling dual.
Sturgis Athletic Director Todd Palmer says they made the difficult decision to postpone the match to get everyone healthy.
He says the decision was not made lightly, and understands it is disappointing to many.
He says he took into account the effect the illness has had on the Scooper wrestling team and did not want to put the team in a situation where due to illness, they were unable to compete at their highest level.
Palmer says he is working with Rapid City Stevens to reschedule the dual.
