Sturgis Titans take two over Rapid City Post 320 Shooters

STURGIS, S.D. – The Sturgis Titans ended the weekend 4-0 as they swept a double-header over the Rapid City Post 320 Shooters on Sunday.

In game one, the Titans fell behind 3-0 before scoring 2 in the second and three in fourth. The Titans used an 8 run sixth inning and kept the Shooters scoreless the rest of the way in a 13-3 victory.

David Anderson, Colton Cruickshank and John Fischer each had 2 hits for the Titans and R.J. Andzrejewski and Dustin Alan each had 2 R.B.I.’s.

In a high scoring game two, the Titans used a 9 run sixth inning to pull away for an 18-13 victory.

The Titans got an all around effort in game two led by Dylan Gillepsie’s 3 R.B.I.’s.

J. Weitzler had a big game for the Shooters with 3 hits and 5 R.B.I’s.

David Anderson pitched 2.1-innings and struck out 3 for the Titans. Cruickshank pitched 3 innings and struck out 2.

The two wins keep the Titans undefeated at 7-0 on the season.
