STURGIS, S.D. – Sturgis won the Black Hills Conference Spirit Competition held Thursday night.
The Scoopers finished with 135.5 points to win the title. Douglas was second with 131.5 and Belle Fourche was third with a 127.
In the dance competition, Sturgis also won grand champion honors with 203.5 points. Douglas/St Thomas More was second and Hot Springs was third.
On their way to winning grand champion, Sturgis captured both the pom and hip hop category with 210.5 and 196.5 respectively.
