HETTINGER, N.D. – The Sturgis Scooper wrestling team crowned five champions en-route to a team victory at the Hettinger Invitational Saturday.
Sturgis finished with 383 points – well ahead of second place finisher Miles City with 234. Moorcroft, Wyo. finished in third, Hettinger-Scranton was fourth and Killdeer was fifth. Spearfish came in sixth.
Winning titles for Sturgis were Teryn Zebroski at 113, Tegan Zebroski at 120, Dee Daniels at 126, Preston Ray at 170 and Reese Jacobs at 182.
On the girls’ side for Sturgis, Madison Snyder won the 130 pound championship, Brooklyn Brant finished second at 125 and Brooklynn Baird placed third at 115.
