SUMMERSET, S.D. – It was municipal election day in Summerset Tuesday, where voters went to the polls to select two people for two open spots on the city commission.
Unofficial results show Michael Kitzmiller and Sidney Reade the top two vote-getters.
Kitzmiller garnered 112 votes and Reade received 110 votes.
There were six candidates running for the two spots.
Vote counts for the remaining two candidates were 96 for Stephanie White, 75 for Adam Kienast, 70 for Tanner Sealey and 16 for Darren Freidel.
The official canvassing of the vote will take place Thursday, April 13, at Summerset City Hall.
