Sunday COVID-19 report – 55 new tests, no new deaths

PIERRE, S.D. – The state Department of Health reported 55 new cases of COVID-19 in its Sunday report with 15 of those in Western South Dakota.

Pennington County reported 10 new positive tests giving them a cumulative total of 507 with 137 active cases.

The other cases reported west river include 2 in Lyman and one each in Fall River, Oglala Lakota and Ziebach counties.

No new cases were reported in Meade or Lawrence counties. Meade County currently has 10 active cases and there are 4 active cases in Lawrence County. Custer County also has 4 active cases.

South Dakota’s active caseload is 838 Sunday, up 20 from Saturday.

The number of people hospitalized is 75, up two from Saturday.

There were no new deaths reported Sunday. The state’s death toll is 91.
