PIERRE, S.D. — South Dakota health officials reported 105 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state Sunday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 102,461.
40 of the 145 total cases are considered as new probable cases.
One new death was reported, bringing the states death toll to 1,923.
12 confirmed cases were reported West River: six in Pennington County, two in Perkins County, and one each in Jones, Lyman, Tripp, and Oglala Lakota Counties.
Two new probable cases were reported West River: both in Lyman County.
In South Dakota, 2,233 cases are considered active, that number holds steady from Saturday.
An additional 143 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 111,711.
59 people are currently hospitalized; a total of 6,864 have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.
