SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office says a suspect in a November hit and run incident near Spearfish has been arrested.
Lawrence County Sheriff Chief Deputy Tavis Little says the female suspect was arrested on unrelated charges in Iowa. Little would not release the woman’s name until they were able to conduct an extradition hearing for her.
The incident happened in the area of Airport Road near Spearfish in Lawrence County, and that a male pedestrian victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
After the incident, authorities announced they were searching for a purple 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe bearing the New Jersey License Plate E46NZY.
