RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Transportation Security Administration says two guns were spotted in baggage during screening at Rapid City Regional Airport this week.
The two handguns were spotted during a routine screen of carry-on luggage.
The guns were the fourth and fifth to be detected at Rapid City Regional Airport this year. Last year, there were seven total guns found in routine screening.
The T.S.A. says the penalty for attempting to bring weapons on board an airplane can be as high as nearly $15,000.
