Bob Merrill, who started showing livestock as a boy at the Turner County Fair in the 1950s, is surrounded by family members during his last year as assistant manager. Merrill’s family includes one son, three daughters, 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. “I’ll still be out here," said Merrill of relinquishing his official duties. "It would take an awful lot to keep me away.”
