Tammy Sue (Lehrkamp) Donaldson was born February 21, 1971, in Charleston, South Carolina to Robert and Lucille Lehrkamp.
Tammy passed away the evening of December 28, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her family and friends. Tammy battled colon cancer for the past 2 ½ years.
She married the love of her life, Tim Donaldson, May 8th, 1998. She lived in the Sturgis area most of her life. Graduating from Sturgis Brown High School in 1989. Often talked of being active in “Black Magic” drill/dance team. She went on to college at Black Hills Beauty College in Rapid City. She also worked for several years at Dakota Arms, plus Freeman Electric in Sturgis.
She, Tim and family, sons Cody and Clint moved east of the Buffalo Chip. There she helped manage their trucking business “Donaldson Trucking.” She also loved animals she had room to have out on this land. Some of her favorite horses: Star, Old Grey Mare, Tucker and Fred. She liked being out where they had space for their business and home.
Loving wife, mother and fierce friend. She would do anything for you. Tammy enjoyed life. She was a homemaker and businesswoman. She loved to travel, her animals, riding the ATV, but on of Tammy’s favorite things was watching her boys do what they loved to do. Cody participated in rodeo with fighting bulls and Clint would ride saddle bronc.
She is truly missed! She was so full of life, laughter, and light, that she shared with all she met.
Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the Donaldson Place at 20690 132nd Avenue Sturgis, SD. A memorial has been established.
