Teddy I. Sharp, 72, passed away suddenly and peacefully at her home in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Belle Fourche. Visitation will be held 5 to 7pm Tuesday at Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Interment will take place at Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming. Friends may leave written condolences online at: www.LeveringtonFH.com
Teddy Wocicki was born on December 6, 1950, in Baker, Montana, to Ted and Madge (Butler) Wocicki. She grew up in Ekalaka, Montana, where she enjoyed barrel racing on her horse, Princess. Teddy graduated from Carter County High School in 1969 and moved to Kansas City, Missouri, later that year. While in Kansas City, she studied bookkeeping and had her first child, Danyel Langley.
In 1974, Teddy and Danyel moved to Gillette, Wyoming, where she had her second child, Clint Langley. On Valentine’s Day 1986, Teddy married Donald E. Sharp in Gillette WY. In the same year, they moved to Laurel, Montana, where she raised Danyel and Clint.
In 1996, Teddy and Don moved to Belle Fourche, South Dakota, to care for her mother, Madge. Teddy spent the rest of her life in Belle Fourche. In 2016, she suffered a cerebral aneurysm. Despite having a 1% chance of survival, she fought through and was blessed with another seven fulfilling years.
Teddy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was known for her kind heart, her sense of humor, and her love for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, and gardening.
Teddy was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Madge Wocicki, and her eldest sister, Virginia Ault. She is survived by her husband, Don; her children, Danyel (Dallas) Nixon, and Clint Langley; her step-son, Dustin Sharp; her sisters, Phyllis Landa of Helena MT, and Dorothy Bagley of Yuma AZ; her grandchildren, Dalton Dampier, Janeil Dampier, and Matthew Miley; her step-grandchildren, Olivia and Lane Sharp; and her numerous nieces and nephews.
Teddy will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a kind and caring person who always put others before herself.
