RAPID CITY, S.D. – A Rapid City teenager appeared in court Tuesday where he entered a guilty plea to two counts of aggravated assault.
Jesse Walters was facing two charges of first-degree robbery and two charges of aggravated assault related to a mugging in the parking lot of Rapid City’s Uptown Mall.
The two victims of the mugging were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Walters and an additional juvenile were arrested shortly after the crime occurred.
In exchange for his plea, the state agreed to drop Walter’s additional two charges of first-degree robbery.
Walters could face up to 15 years in prison.
