Teen, truck driver hurt in collision on Highway 73

FAITH, S.D. – A teenager from Faith and a truck driver were both hurt in a collision on Highway 73 about 15 miles south of Faith on Monday.

The Meade County Sheriff’s Office and Highway Patrol are investigating the crash.

The teenager was reportedly on his way to school when the accident happened.

A social media post from relatives indicates the teen was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries, including a broken leg and arm.

Meade County Sheriff Pat West says the truck driver was also taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
