RAPID CITY, S.D. — Three men were arrested Thursday (Oct. 24)evening slightly after 7 p.m. after police responded to a burglary in progress on Wood Avenue between Anamosa St and College Ave.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a broken window and a fire inside the residence. Shortly afterward, three male suspects were seen fleeing the home through the broken window. They were detained and identified as Colin Whiting, Julian Wright, and Carlito Jumping Eagle, all 18 years old and from Rapid City.
The Rapid City Fire Department arrived and quickly extinguished the fire. Following an investigation, all three men were arrested and charged with First Degree Burglary and First Degree Arson. They were then transported to the Pennington County Jail.
