RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Meade County Sheriff’s Office reports three juveniles were apprehended on various charges after an incident that took place on Stagebarn Canyon Road.
The three suspects are accused of breaking into a home sometime Monday afternoon.
Property owners say they have had a problem of people breaking-in and causing damage. The property includes the old Stagebarn Crystal Caverns, which has been closed to the public since 2007.
In a statement to the media, the Sheriff’s office said that “Stagebarn Canyon Road is private property and people should not be trespassing up there or attempting to enter the cave or the home as they are closed to the public.”
Names of the three suspects are not being released because they are juveniles. They face various charges related to burglary and trespassing.
