PIERRE, S.D. – The state Health Department reported just 31 new cases of COVID-19 Monday, but 3 additional deaths raised the state’s death toll to 2,004. The new deaths included 2 out of Pennington County, where the death toll is now 198. The other death was out of Clark County.
Active cases continued their decline Monday – down 46 from Friday to 522.
The number of people hospitalized dropped by 5 to 56.
Across the Black Hills area, Pennington County had 4 new cases and Butte County added one new case.
