Three Scooper wrestlers get 3rd round consolation wins

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The third round consolation matches have wrapped up at the State A wrestling tournament in Rapid City.

At 106, Korbin Osborn of Sturgis is headed to the semifinal for a chance at third place. Osborn got an 8-6 decision win over Evan Eckholm of Rapid City Stevens. Osborn will wrestle Rayden Zens of Aberdeen Central next for a chance at third place.

At 120, Maverick Simons will wrestle for seventh after a loss in the third round consolation to Truman Stoller of Madison.

At 126, Logan DeSersa of Sturgis is still alive for a third place spot at a win over Jackson Boonstra of Dakota Valley. DeSersa will wrestle Brock Martin of Aberdeen Central next for a chance at third place.

At 138, Perry Ketelsen of Sturgis is in the third place semifinal with a 7-3 decision win over Sam Olson of Madison. He will wrestle Hayden Shaffer of Pierre for a chance at third place.

At 152, Bailey Badwound of Spearfish got a nice win in 1:13 over Barrett Schneck of Milbank. He will will wrestle T.J. Morrison of Rapid City Central next for a chance at third place.
