GILLETTE, WY – The Sturgis Scooper boys and girls teams braved winter weather and dangerous wind chills, traveling to Thunder Basin High School on Friday night.
The Scooper girls hung tough with the Bolts through three quarters but fell behind in the fourth, losing to Thunder Basin 46-33.
In the boys matchup, Thunder Basin hit four 3-pointers in the first quarter and led 45-29 at the half, on their way to a 82-42 win over the Scoopers.
Both the Sturgis girls and boys teams fall to 1-5 on the season. The Scoopers are in action next on Friday, Jan. 19 as they host Lead-Deadwood at West Gym.
