PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health reports 82 new cases of COVID-19 today, and Harding County reports its first case of the virus.
Harding County became the 66th and final South Dakota county with a positive case, with two positive cases announced Thursday.
Pennington County had the most new cases around the Black Hills area, recording 5 new positive tests. Pennington County’s cumulative total rises to 915 with 109 active cases. The active cases are down 5 in Pennington County today.
Meade County reported one new case, giving them a cumulative total of 98 with 20 active cases. That is down 2 from Wednesday.
Other new cases today include one in Oglala Lakota County.
The statewide number of active cases is down 4 today to 1,058. Hospitalizations are down today as well – down 3 to 56.
There was one new death reported today. The new death was a man listed in the 50-59 age range in Hughes County.
