Tim Elshere of Milesville, South Dakota, died on Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Hans P. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip at the age of 68.
Timothy Moore Elshere was born October 31, 1955 in Kadoka, SD to Paul and Joy (Moore) Elshere. He joined one brother Jim and later his brother Andy (Martin) was born. He attended grade school at the Hardingrove School in Milesville, SD. His 8th grade year the Milesville school was built and he finished out his country school years there. He went to Philip, SD for his high school years.
Tim had various jobs after high school. On May 1st he married Judy Lea Hoar (Bonesteel, SD). They first lived in Rhame, ND then moved to Verdigree, NE. Getting closer to home, they moved north of Philip for several years then moved out to the home place in Milesville.
Tim and Judy had 3 sons – Scott, Shawn and Casey. Eventually they added 3 daughter-in-laws and 8 grandchildren.
His family and grandchildren were the joy of his life. He also enjoyed watching rodeo – whether in person or on TV. He especially enjoyed the saddle bronc riding and cheering for his nephews and great nephews. He loved going to the grandkids events, t-ball, baseball, soccer, football, basketball, track and yes even volleyball.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Elshere of Milesville; son, Scott (Tia) Elshere of Sioux Falls and their children Holden, Isaac and Miles; son, Shawn (Thamy) Elshere of Rhome, TX and their children Naomi and Nolan; son Casey (Rachelle) Elshere of Hot Springs and their children Ashlynn, Lainey and Cade; brothers, Jim (Lana) Elshere of Milesville and Andy (Donella) Elshere of Faith; brothers-in-law, Jim Hoar, Tom (Denise) Scott, Jeff Hour and Benny Baker; sisters-in-law Marilyn (Fred) Bailey and Nancy Hoar; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Joy Elshere; sisters-in-law, Becky Hour, Betty Hoar and Janice Baker; brother-in-law, Paul Hoar; and nephew, Travis Baker.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024 at the Milesville Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the Milesville Hall with Beau Bendigo officiating.
Burial will follow at the Milesville Cemetery.
