CHAMBERLAIN, S.D. – The Sturgis Titans were in action early Wednesday, playing a pair of games at Chamberlain.
In their first game, the Titans dropped a an 11-4 contest to Post 15 West.
West scored seven runs in the fourth inning and never looked back.
In their second game, the Titans played Post 15 East.
East jumped out a 16-0 lead that they took into the bottom of the fifth inning. The Titans were able to avoid the shutout by putting one run across the plate.
East would quickly end the inning, though, after the run and ended the game via the mercy rule, 16-1.
Sturgis drops to 1-10 on the season and will host Belle Fourche Thursday night at Strong Field.
