Titans Jump Out To Early Lead, Down Outlaw Baseball Club

STURGIS, S.D. — The Sturgis Post 33 Titans struck first and held on to beat the Outlaw Baseball Club of Miles City, MT on Thursday to the tune of 5-2. 

The Titans fired up the offense in the first inning, when an error scored one run for Sturgis Post 33.

Gage Murphey earned the win for Post 33. Murphey lasted five innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out eight.

Jacob Hurr took the loss for the Outlaw Baseball Club. Hurr lasted five innings, allowing nine hits and five runs while striking out two and walking zero.

Post 33 racked up nine hits in the game. RJ Andrzejewski and Conner Cruickshank all collected multiple hits for Sturgis Post 33. Cruickshank and Andrzejewski all had two hits to lead the Titans.

Trae Awbery went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead the Outlaw Baseball Club in hits.

Post 33 improves to 5-5 on the season.
