Titans roll Loveland at Sturgis Baseball Rally

STURGIS, S.D. – The Sturgis Titans dominated in a 12-0 win over Loveland Post 67 Friday night at the Sturgis Baseball Rally.

The Titans scored 3 runs in the bottom of the first inning, 2 runs in the second inning and 7 in the third inning.

While Sturgis saw most of their roster with at least one hit, Loveland only managed a pair of hits as starting pitcher Aidan Wood went 3-and-two-thirds innings and struck out 9 batters.

Xander Heller, Wood and Evan Stroud all scored in the Titan first inning with Brody Royer and Yaden Miller scoring runs in the second.

Sturgis put the game away in a 7-run third inning, ending the game early due to the mercy rule.

In other scores at the Baseball Rally Friday, The Billings Navy squad defeated the Sturgis Missles 10-2 and the Billings Red Squad beat Casper 18-0.
