CUSTER, S.D. – The Custer girls and boys track teams won their home invitational held Tuesday.
On the boys’ side, the Wildcats gots wins from Danny Immormino in the 100 meters, Alex Van Horn in the 400, Gage Grohs in the 800, Kincade Lehman in the 300 meter hurdles and Robbie Emery in the pole vault.
Sawyer Clarkson of Belle Fourche kept his season going strong as he captured the 1,600.
For Sturgis, Jayden Ludwick won the 110 meter hurdles and Levi Brant captured the javelin.
On the girls’ side, Custer got wins from Taylor Busch in the 400-meters, Jayda Bennett in the 100-meter hurdles, Torri Virtue in the shot put, Alice Sedlacek in the discus and Ciana Steifel in the pole vault.
Fort Sturgis, Erin Shaw captured the triple jump at 31 feet, 9.5 inches.

In other track and field action Tuesday, the Wall girls and the Philip boys captured team titles at the Eagle Qualifier.
For the girls, Wall scored victories with Paige Kjerstad in the 400, April Schultz in the shot put and discus and Nora Dinger in the long jump.

And in Rapid City, Stevens and Central participated in field events at the Raider Invite.
On the boys’ side, Elias Gillen of Stevens won the shot put and his teammate Austin Weed won the javelin. Conner Warren of Central captured the discus.
On the girls’ side, Isabell Higgins of Stevens won the shot put and discus and Central’s Cordelia Raforth won the javelin.
