RAPID CITY, S.D. – A trial date has been set for a Rapid City man charged with murder.
Allac Dismounts Thrice, 28, is accused of using a hammer to kill 39-year-old Rich Montanez on September 3, 2020 while Montanez was sleeping.
He is also accused of trying to kill two women who were at the house on the same day, leaving them severely injured.
A judge set a time for a three-week trial to begin March 13 of 2023.
Facing one count of first degree murder and two counts of attempted murder, Dismounts Thrice could face up to life in prison if convicted.
