RAPID CITY, S.D. – A 24-year-old Rapid City man will go to trial in July on a first degree murder charge.
Ezekiel Mayweather, 24, will be tried on a first-degree murder charge beginning July 21. The trial will potentially continue through Aug. 1.
Ezekiel Mayweather, and a co-defendant, Arkadius Wright, are accused of killing Esther Wolfe execution-style in February 2024.
Mayweather and Wright are no longer co-defendants. Prosecutors say they are not seeking the death penalty in Mayweather’s case.
Mayweather will next appear in court for a pre-trial non-evidentiary hearing June 11.
